    Call Authentication

    Rich Call DataRCD

Verified display information — business name, logo, and call reason — carried inside a signed PASSporT so it cannot be forged in transit.

RCD uses an extended PASSporT type ('rcd') that includes display name, a URL to a logo asset, and optionally a short call reason. Because the data is inside the signed token, a downstream carrier cannot alter it without breaking the signature.

RCD depends on the originating provider vetting the business identity behind the data — the cryptography protects the data in transit, not the truth of the claim.

    Why it matters to carriers

RCD is where authentication turns into a sellable service for your enterprise customers rather than a pure compliance cost.
